Member Spotlight - Papa Gino's, 1876 Boston Road, Wilbraham

Papa Gino's was founded in 1961 by Michael and Helen Valerio as a single East Boston pizza shop, Piece O' Pizza, using authentic, generations-old Italian family recipes. The pizzeria became known throughout Boston as the place to go for pizza of superior quality and unique flavor.

Continuing to perfect their business systems, they drew more and more customers to their restaurant by providing a family environment. In 1968, they changed the name to Papa Gino's and began expanding throughout the Boston area.

Offerings: Papa Gino's offers the highest quality pizzas, in addition to carrying fresh pasta, subs, salads and a variety of appetizers. All the company's pizzas are made with the freshest ingredients, such as its signature tomato sauce made only with vine-ripened tomato and a delectable three-cheese blend all topping a hand-stretched traditional thin crust. The company offers 12 different toppings for its pizza, in addition to providing eight "specialty pizzas," including the Super Veggie, Super Steak, Buffalo Chicken, Paparoni, Meat Combo, The Works, Hawaiian, as well as Chicken & Roasted Garlic.

The quick-service Italian restaurant features a variety of sandwiches, including traditional subs, panini and pita-pocket sandwiches. The company rounds out its menu with five popular salads and six specialty pasta dishes. Papa Gino's best selling item remains its signature thin crust cheese pizza.

Families are very important to Papa Gino's and continue to be the company's best customers. In accordance, Papa Gino's also designated certain evenings in many locations as "Kids Night," where children enjoy fun activities with their meals. Papa Gino's also boasts a Birthday Party Program for children ages 3 - 10. Birthday parties are held for two hours in a dedicated area of the dining room. Papa Gino's birthday packages include pizza, soda, games, and birthday cake and goody bags for each child.

Deals and Service: Papa Gino's places an emphasis on quality delivery service. Call today for delivery availability in your area! With service in mind, beginning September 2008, Papa Gino's began online ordering. Visit papaginos.com for your order today. As a part of the value proposition, Papa Gino's offers a Specialty Pizza deal where a guest can receive up to five pizzas for $5 each with the purchase of a large Specialty pizza.

Today, there are approximately 170 Papa Gino's restaurants serving classic pizza, a full line of subs, salads and other Italian specialties in a setting emphasizing attentive service, clean/attractive restaurants, convenience, and a premium value experience for every guest. Papa Gino's has restaurants in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
